Bishops beat Rugby Club Luzern 36 - 0

Ghosts of the heavy 1st round loss were laid to rest as Bishops put on a display of uncompromising defence and ever-improving organisation to keep a clean slate and see off joint table leaders Rugby Club Luzern.

After defending the majority of the 1st half inside our own 22 metre line, Bishops were finally able to build pressure and put some phases together to take a 10-0 lead into the break. With ever-improving confidence and self-belief, Bishops dominated the 2nd half with a total of 5 tries.

Man of The Match performance from Tom Wright with 3 tries and general all-round standout performance. Bishops debut match for Daniel Roduner, who played a pivotal role in both attack and some bruising defence. Bishop's rookie Gabriel Burger played a solid game at 15, fighting through 3 RC Luzern defenders to stretch out and score his first try in the final seconds of the match. Gareth Davies also made an impact playing again for the first time since breaking his knee. 4/5 conversions + 1 penalty.

The team executed their game plan with ever-improving accuracy and structure in both defence and attack.

Thanks to RC Luzern for the game and post-match hospitality. All the best for the rest of the season!
