Bishops hopeful of play-offs berth after downing Albaladejo RC Lausanne

In almost perfect spring conditions, spectators were treated to an 8-try scoring fest in a game which was played in positive spirit.

With a much improved 80-minute performance, Rugby Club St. Gallen Bishops won convincingly 45 - 5 against a competitive and determined Albaladejo Rugby Club Lausanne squad.

Enjoying dry conditions, both teams displayed some exciting open rugby and gritty defence. Pressure from both defensive lines led to a number of handling errors and with both teams scrapping to win ruck ball, a lot of penalties were also conceded.

Man Of The Match, Serhan Arslan, who sheered off the side of an attacking maul, opened the scoring, which was promptly followed with another 4 tries and Bishops went into the half time break holding a commanding 31 : 0 lead.

Albaladejo opened the scoring in the 2nd half, raising fears of Bishops switching off as in their previous match in Solothurn. This was soon put to rest with Bishops scoring 4 minutes later, finishing with 2 further scores and taking the game firmly in their grasp.
