Despite a 77-14 scoreline, Bishops displayed good spirit in taking on favourites GEPLO2. Reduced to 14 players after winger Anselm Ivanovas was forced off with a broken finger, the men from Eastern Switzerland showed in parts that they could hold their own against a better drilled and larger squad.
Tries by Tom Wright and Andreas Kern with some bruising tackling accounting for a number of GEPLO2 players, Bishops made their way home, disappointed with the score line, but positive about the future of St. Gallen rugby.
Thanks to GEPLO2 our hosts, Pfister (our bus driver), our sponsors and support crew.
