Bishops quickly jumped out to a 14:0 lead with Daniel Llano picking up a brace which were converted converted by Malcolm Fraser . However, with strong and determined forward runs, RC Bern hit back with 2 scores of their own before the break with a 14:14 scoreline at half time.

It was the Bishops who opened up the scoring in the 2nd half with tries to winger Daniel Roduner and fullback Cedi Chiavi. Fraser missed one of the 2 conversions with the score at 26:14. A lack of concentration at key moments and minor errors allowed Bern to swing the momentum back in their favour. Bishops struggled to keep Bern's large forward pack at bay and let in a relatively soft try shortly after for a 26:21 scoreline.

Dominik Egli gave Bishops a little breathing room with 7 minutes to play when he scored - 31:21. Bern fought back and following some determined close quarter, managed to cross the line on full time. The try was converted with the game ending Bishops 31:28 RC Bern.
